Over the coming decade, a wave of innovative, high-impact agricultural technologies will have the potential to increase productivity, raising yields and incomes. As they come online, these climate-smart technologies will help repair the currently disrupted food, energy, water and health supply chains, helping to promote a more inclusive and regenerative economy. Or not. Building a pipeline of investable projects is key to sustainable development. How can we screen and validate investment opportunities in the agricultural sector? How can impact investing and outcome-based financing be productive when new, high-value technologies are few and far between?
