Since 2016 the IFC-Milken Institute Capital Markets Program (ifcmilkencmp.org) has trained over 160 Scholars from finance ministries, central banks, stock exchanges, and financial regulatory bodies across more than 45 developing and emerging economies. Program pillars include four months of rigorous academic coursework at the George Washington University School of Business, four months of internship in leading firms across the US financial industry, and lifelong membership in a powerful alumni network. In this brief video, Capital Market Scholars and Alumni reflect on their experience and lessons learned during the Program, and outline a few priorities as they head home to lay the groundwork for economic development, job creation, and business opportunity in their markets.
