Emily Tan is a Senior Correspondent for CNBC International covering breaking business and financial stories on Hong Kong, China and Taiwan markets. She joined CNBC in 2007, as the lead Hong Kong market reporter. Emily has interviewed some of the region’s most recognisable and influential leaders including Alibaba Chairman Joe Tsai, HSBC Group CEO Noel Quinn, Hong Kong Exchanges & Clearing Chairman Laura Cha and Chief Executive Nicolas Aguzin, Ping An Co-CEO Jessica Tan, Foxconn Chairman Young Liu, Lenovo CFO Wong Wai Ming and Hong Kong’s former Chief Executive Carrie Lam. Emily has more than 20 years’ experience in TV journalism. She graduated from the University of Southern California’s Annenberg School for Communication, with a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism .
