Marc Stad is the Founder and Managing Partner of Dragoneer Investment Group. Dragoneer is a growth-oriented investment firm with over $20 billion under management and a flexible mandate to invest in high-quality businesses in both the public and private markets. For over a decade, Marc and his team have partnered with management teams growing exceptional companies, characterized by sustainable differentiation and superior economic models. Prior to founding Dragoneer, Marc was a Partner and Portfolio Manager at the Investment Group of Santa Barbara and worked as an investment professional at TPG Capital and as a consultant at McKinsey & Company. He graduated magna cum laude from Harvard College with an A.B. in Government and received an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. Previously, Marc was featured on the Forbes Midas List, Fortune’s 40 under 40, and Recode 100 list. Marc also served as President and Commissioner of the City and County of San Francisco Finance Corporation.
